Training for Content Creators

The EzyLearn WordPress course starts out by providing the knowledge required for writers and content creators to write articles (blogs) and optimise the blogs for better search engine results (they call this on page search engine optimisation). Optimisation tools include tags and categories as well as the use of relevant keywords within your article.

Authors, Editors, Pages and Administrators

There are several levels (called Roles) of WordPress user and the primary content creation role mentioned above is performed by a contributor or author. When your organisation requires more structured levels of control such as an “Editor” to manage what goes public and what stays as draft or pending we then take you through the privileges of the Editors “role” and explore the tools available for editors to manage their content writing authors. This includes fixing up the tags and categories, modifying the content, inserting images or hyperlinks and scheduling when the blog articles are to be published.

The editors role can also be to manage the written content and images on website “pages” as well as posts and we show you how to manage your pages and page menus.

Website Pages and Menus

WordPress can be used as a blog or as a website builder and is often termed as a Content Management System (or CMS) because it enables you to create as many pages as you need in whatever structure you need.

We show you how to create pages, categorize them and change the order and structure using the traditional and new menu management system. This automatically creates multi-tier menu structures without the need for complex CSS or HTML coding. You can manage it all using point-and-click.

WordPress Administrator

Once you master the content on your website and how it is arranged you will feel more confident to explore your structural abilities – the privileges available to WordPress administrators. This part of the course give you structure and creative control to make your site look a cut above the rest.
