1 How long will it take me to complete the course?
The fastest a student has gone through the COMPLETE QuickBooks Online training course package is 5 days (including all knowledge reviews).
The average time to complete a the QuickBooks Online courses is 3 weeks and some people take several months or simply use the course as a resource during their membership period. If the training content in our online QuickBooks Online training course was delivered in a face to face classroom environment it would take approximately 5 days.

2 Can I go over the training materials more than once?
Yes.
The course videos can be watched over and over again as often as you want. The workbooks are available as a downloaded pdf file so you can print it and go over it as often as you want. The more you access and use the materials the faster you will complete the course.

3 What are the prerequisites?
It is expected that you
- have a PC or tablet,
- have good Internet access,
- are confident using a mouse, downloading, launching programs, and
- can navigate around your computer (Windows OR Mac).
Although you’ll get through the course faster if you have an understanding of basic accounting / bookkeeping terminology the course includes bookkeeping skills as part of the course. You’ll learn basic and even intermediate bookkeeping skills while you also learn how to use popular accounting software.

4 When can I start?
After you have completed the online enrolment form and made your payment you will receive an enrolment confirmation email confirming your enrolment and providing you with passwords to access your course. This will arrive by 5pm the next business day but often arrives the same day.

5 How long can I access the QuickBooks Online training courses?
You have 12 months to complete the course and knowledge reviews and go over the training materials as often as you need or want for 12 months. Since January 14th 2011, we’ve offered lifetime access as an option so check on the course options when you enrol or check your welcome email if you are an existing student.
You get a LIFETIME Student Account which includes access to the FREE Data Entry and Beginners Microsoft Office training courses.
Access to the QuickBooks Online Accounting training course is different to accessing the QuickBooks Accounting software. As a training company that has been helping student learn about bookkeeping and how to use accounting software like MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks we create and support our students using a Learning Management System called Moodle. This system manages all our training resources and assessments and because we manage this ourselves we’re able to give students access to our courses and resources for 12 months or LIFETIME for selected courses.

6 Do I get a certificate?
If you choose the certificate option when you enrol, you will receive a certificate after you have successfully completed the online assessment questions and complete a course evaluation. If you did not choose a certificate option when you enrolled you can still answer the knowledge review questions and apply for an assessment and certificate.
When you enrol into a COMPLETE training course package or any course which includes BAS, GST, Payroll, Projects or Cashflow and budgets you receive an Advanced Certificate

7 How does assessment work?
The assessment questions are located at the end of each section or at the end of each course and comprise a series of questions which may include YES/NO, multiple choice, multiple answer or matching questions. When you submit your answers (you get 3 attempts) your answers are recorded in your student profile. When you have completed them you let us know and an assessor will confirm that you passed each test and provide you with a certificate. All knowledge reviews must be completed within 12 months of enrolling. If you did not enrol for the certificate option but would like to take advantage of it you can complete all knowledge reviews and pay for your certificate at the time of your QuickBooks Online course completion.

8 How do I get my certificate?
Your certificate is sent to you as a full colour PDF attachment via the student support area.

9 What type of certificate do I receive?
The default certificate is an EzyLearn certificate of completion that confirms you have accessed the course and successfully completed the knowledge reviews. It contains a logo of the Bookkeeping Academy so you can put it in your resume to display the fact that you are a committed learner and part of an organisation devoted to continuing professional education.

When you complete advanced courses your Certificate will display an Advanced Certificate in the course you’ve chosen.

10 Can I get a nationally recognised certificate?
The EzyLearn training material provides training on many aspects that are relevant to bookkeeping and Ezylearn is aligning its training materials with nationally recognised qualifications. The certificate you receive is an EzyLearn Certificate of Completion.
To get a nationally recognised certificate like a Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping you need to enrol into a bookkeeping course with a registered training organisation (RTO) – EzyLearn decided NOT to become an RTO but we can help you learn how to master using the software. We can also provide EzyLearn students with a pathway to accredited Certification if you want it further down your career path (like becoming a BAS Agent).

11 What if I have a problem using the online course
EzyLearn support uses a ticketing system to keep track of problems you have or tasks that need to be performed for you (like assessment checking for your certificate). Students can access this online support for any questions they have regarding the course.

14 Do I need the software?
You don’t need the software to watch the videos in the video library component of the training courses and test your skill level with the knowledge reviews but we always recommend you sign up for the free trial (it is available for free via a link at our online learning site). You DO need to sign up for the free trial when you work through the practical tasks in the workbooks and assessments because the training workbooks contain practical step-by-step exercises that you need to perform using the software.
These practical case studies give you increased confidence in using the software because they follow the transactions entered by most typical businesses.
We often get the question about whether a 30 day QuickBooks Online trial is long enough to complete the course and the answer is: yes it is. Most of our individual QuickBooks Online training course case studies take between 4-15 hours so they can easily been completed within the 30 day trial but even the COMPLETE course (approx 40 hours) is easily achievable.
However, if you find that you need to delay or postpone your QuickBooks Online course the QuickBooks Online software enables you to sign up for another free trial at a later time, unlike software like Reckon One.
The other thing to consider is that the QuickBooks Online trial software is the real software that businesses use and not a rigid “learning only” system so it better represents your real world experience in using the software.
Software installation and support on your local computer is best handled by the software vendor or your local IT support person.

15 How long does the course take?
Our online QuickBooks Online training course includes 5 training courses for the price you’d expect to pay for one course. The QuickBooks Online Accounting COMPLETE training course includes Setup, Day-to-Day Transactions, Data Entry, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Credit Control, Cashflow, Budgets, Reporting and Payroll Administration.
The contents of the course is what we used to cover in approximately 6 full time days of classroom style training – but since 2007 we have been 100% online. You can enrol into each individual QuickBooks Online Accounting course or choose a training package that includes everything.

19 Which version of the software do you use?
We created our first QuickBooks Online Accounting training courses in 2012 and when the software navigation or features change significantly we update those sections of the QuickBooks Online training courses. One of the things that students, and indeed ALL users of cloud-based software need to be aware of is that the software changes all the time as software publishers add features and publish them regularly.
When there is a significant change in the content or navigation around the software in our courses we announce it via our blog and as a student you receive access to this new content for FREE during your membership period. Our QuickBooks Online Accounting training is focused on the Australian version and include information about the GST, BAS and payroll for Australia, but students from Hong Kong, Canada, UK and New Zealand have completed the course?

27 Can I earn CPD (CPE) points with your QuickBooks Online courses?
Yes.
If you are a certified bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) you can earn 1 point for every hour of education. All QuickBooks Online Training courses can be completed in a normal classroom environment in 5 days which equates to 40 hours or 40 points. You will need to enrol into the Certificate option to provide evidence of completion. To help with CPD points for members of ICB, CPA and similar member based industry organisations all of our courses are now available separately at our online course catalogue website.

Several different training resources are created to help students learn how to use any software program and they include training video tutorials, exercise files or case studies to practice with, training manuals and workbooks with written instructions on what to do when you’re practising, knowledge review test to test that you’ve learnt what is covered in the courses and also confirm that you are competent. Once you’re competent you can then receive a certificate.

33 Do your restrict parts of your QuickBooks Online Training Courses?
NO WAY!
Some training companies make you follow their course strictly, only allowing you to access one part when you’ve finished the previous stage. We’ve never liked this approach because we believe short courses are all about getting in and learning what you want, when you want it. Although you can complete the Complete Training Course Package within 2-3 weeks we provide 12 months access so students can use it as a resource after they’ve completed it.
Some students learn about Payroll using QuickBooks Online because they need to solve an urgent problem and then progress through in a more logical order from beginners to advanced topics. Some students looking for a job will get through the daily transactions course to understand and be confident with the basics so they do well in phone and personal interviews and then go through the rest of the courses to be fully skilled.
